Exterior Cleaning

Power Washing & Mildew Removal

DESCRIPTION

Black, gray, green, or brown spots on any surface

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Mildew forms interior and exterior surfaces that tend to be damp or receive little or no direct sunlight.

  • Painting over a substrate (e.g. the surface that was painted) containing mildew.

SOLUTN

  • After testing to make sure mildew is present, apply bleach or TSP mixed with water.

  • After10 to 15 minutes, use low pressure power-wash to rinse out the residue.

Power Washing

  • Increases Home Value: Pressure washing is considered to be the most affordable way to increase your home’s value. According to the National Association of Realtors, a pressure washed home can add $10,000-$15,000 to the sale price.

  • Improves Curb Appeal: Your home’s curb appeal is important, especially if you are thinking about selling or keep a good looking of your home. Pressure washing your home removes stains and mildew that can make a home look unattractive, stalling a prospective home buyer from putting in an offer.

  • It's A Preventative Maintenance: Regularly scheduled pressure washings are great ways to save money on costly exterior home repairs. Keeping your home clean hinders rot, decay and premature aging of the home, extending the life of your siding, driveway, porch and deck.

  • Protects Your Family: Your home is also the home to a variety of different contaminants, such as dirt, mold, mildew and algae – some of which can be life-threatening. Pressure washing not only your home but your driveway, walkway, porch and patio can help prevent these bacteria from growing and prevent injuries caused by slipping and falling.

Carpenty Bees Treatment

HOW TO TREAT

  • Spray a residual insecticideintotheholes.

  • Dust an insecticide residual dust into the carpenter bee holes.

  • After all is done, plug up the holes during the fall months. If you plug the holes too soon, the carpenter bees may make another hole to exit.

PREVENTION IN SPRING TIME

  • Prevention is the operative word for carpenter bee control. Prevent them before you have to get rid of them.

  • Carpenter Bees attack unfinished wood under decks, sills, and decks first. Varnish or paint these wood surfaces to make them less attractive to these bees. A fresh coat of paint is unattractive to a Carpenter Bee.

  • Seal as many exterior openings as possible. The Carpenter Bees are looking for cracks that will protect entrances. Seal and caulk these cracks and crevices.

  • Carpenter Bees will reuse holes from the previous season. Cauk these holes in the fall, after the carpenter bees have emerged.

  • Carpenter Bee prevention and extermination is usually best done before nesting activity gets started. If you do not have a chance to paint or varnish the unfinished wood, before the bees bore into the wood, spray the unfinished wood in these vulnerable areas (under rail sidings, under decks, around window sills, etc) with a good residual spray. The best time to spray preventively for carpenter bee control is spring time. Nesting and the rearing of young carpenter bees occur in the late spring or early summer. These residual insecticides will last 2-3 months, continue retreating until the fall season.

Windows and storm-w washed by professionals

Your windows don’t only allow you to look out at the world beyond your home – they also allow sunshine to pour in, which can provide warmth and light. This is why keeping your windows crystal clear and clean is so important. Over time, dirt and debris on your windows can become smudged when in contact with moisture and condensation. Not only can this make it difficult to see the view outside your home, but it can also negatively affect the look and feel of your home’s ambiance. Nobody wants dirty, smudged windows. Here are five benefits of hiring a professional window cleaner for your home.

  • Boost the curb appeal of your home. When your windows aren’t clean, your curb appeal is, well, less appealing. Whether you are trying to sell your home, or show off your home to your neighbors, you’ll want to get your windows professionally cleaned – it is a simple part of home maintenance that will make your home look well kept.

  • Protect your windows. Dirt and debris on windows can actually cause irreversible damage. Overtime, the dirt and dust can actually etch into the glass and cause scratches. Eventually, this can cause distortion that will make your windows difficult to look out of. A professional technician will usually use high-powered tools and specially formulated cleaners to wash windows. In order to protect your windows, it is important to get them professionally washed every few months, especially if you have tall or expansive windows.

  • Improve the quality of your home. Clean windows will also improve the look and feel of your home’s interior, which will make you feel good too. When you have guests, you want to make your windows are easy to look out of. If you have a tremendous view, you don’t want dirt to get in the way of being able to enjoy the world outside. Moreover, it can make your home feel unkempt if your windows haven’t been cleaned in a long time.

  • It’s safer than washing them yourself. When you clean your own windows, you often have to use a ladder to reach higher spaces. This can present the risk of a falling injury. You can also increase the risk of broken windows. Plus, you have to think about protecting yourself from chemicals. When you get your windows professionally cleaned, you won’t have to worry about these risks to your health and safety.

  • More effective than DIY window washing. Another big benefit of getting your windows professionally washed is that your windows will be cleaner and clearer. Professional window washers use unique tools to make sure that your windows are cleaned without leaving smudges or streaks behind. There is a good chance that when you clean you always leave streaks, which can be difficult to remove and it can defeat the purpose of washing your windows. When you hire the professionals, you’ll get that streak-free shine and your windows will look beautiful

Gutter and downspout cleaning

Even though they’re "out of sight and out of mind" for the majority of the time, your gutters actually play a huge role in the structural integrity of your house, and keeping them clean is a great way to avoid the potentially costly expense of gutter repairs.

Gutters have one job: to guide rainwater off your roof and straight down the drain. Despite their importance, though, it can be all too easy to forget about them until something goes wrong. If your gutters become clogged or broken, the results can be serious: not only could you end up with structural damage, the resulting damp can cause health issues for you and your family.

Whether you have cast iron, plastic, or pressed steel gutters, they need to be cleaned annually in order to keep them performing properly, and to avoid the need for gutter repairs in the future.
